Summary

International Trade Fair for Food and Catering Products Polagra-Food 2008 - the most important branch meeting in this part of Europe gathered more than 400 exhibitors from 30 countries. This event is perfectly recognized in the sector and traditionally identified as the place of presentation of market novelties and trends for the future.

On nearly 11 000 sq. metres of exhibition surface during four days of the fair the visitors had the unique opportunity to see and taste delicacies from all parts of the world, as well as learn about the offer of machines and devices for catering and catering accessories and also food products for this sector of economy.

The exposition was accompanied by interesting and spectacular programme of events. It comprised of contests and presentations on special areas, tastings, as well as meetings with professionals, lectures and seminars prepared in cooperation with branch partners and sponsors.

This year's edition of the fair was visited by many notable guests such as Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of Poland Marek Sawicki, Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Poland Waldemar Pawlak, Minister of Agriculture of Russian Federation Alieksiej Wasilewicz Gordiejew, Ministers and representatives of Ministries of Agriculture from Hungary, Romania, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Palestine, China, and others.
