Among experts

Among the events enriching the programme of this year's Polagra-Food it is worth mentioning the series of conferences called "Two Days for Distribution", this year dedicated to traditional trade. The scheduled conferences are going to concern such topics as, for example, modern commercial space arrangement and the choice and implementation of the optimum franchising model. Other interesting events are going to include discussion panels organised by the Polish Association of Food Industry Engineers and Technicians (SITSPOŻ). On September 13 the organisers are going to invite the fair attendants to the discussion panel on "The problems of the baking industry - Poland, the EU and the world", the participants of which are going to be bakers and millers from all over Poland and the representatives of UIB. The series of discussion panels is also going to include those devoted to the fermentation, vegetable and fruit industries - "Globalisation - a chance for development or a danger for the fruit and vegetable sector", the food industry - "Information on food labels - what and for whom," as well as the catering industry - "Good practices in the catering industry in the context of the EU law."

Traditionally and healthily

This year's edition of Polagra-Food is going to be accompanied by the initiative called "The Tastes of Regions" supporting the development of the production of Polish natural and traditional food, which is becoming more and more competitive in the demanding EU market. The exposition organised in cooperation with the Union of the Voivodeships of the Republic of Poland (ZWRP) was created in order to promote Polish ecological and certified food. Numerous little known, small, local food manufacturers are going to show their unique products at the exhibition. At the same time, a conference is going to be held on "the Prospects for the Development of the System of Protected Designations of Origin, Protected Geographical Indications and Traditional Specialities Guaranteed."

Meat in a palette of colours

Many companies offering meat products (made of both red and white - poultry - meat) have declared that they are going to be present at this year's fair. The cooperation of Poznań International Fair with the industry organisations and associations, such as the National Poultry Council (KRD) and the Polish Butchers and Meat Articles Makers Association [Stowarzyszenie Rzeźników i Wędliniarzy RP] have come to fruition in the form of the interest of many companies and a rich programme of events dedicated to the meat industry. Among many events of this year's fair, visitors will be invited to take part in the 16th Forum of Polish Butchers and Meat Articles Makers accompanied by numerous sausage-making competitions. You will also be able to see the "Meat in a Palette of Colours" exposition.
